About This Place

Shari's Cafe and Pies in Rohnert Park, CA is a warm and inviting family restaurant that masterfully blends classic American flavors with a genuine hometown charm. Celebrated for its hearty breakfasts, satisfying brunches, and comforting lunches, this spot truly stands out for pie lovers and casual diners alike. Upon stepping inside, you’re greeted by an atmosphere reminiscent of a cozy, friendly neighborhood diner, where the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked pies instantly feels like a comforting embrace.

The menu at Shari’s is a treasure trove of satisfying choices that cater to every craving. Breakfast enthusiasts will relish the fluffy omelettes stuffed with spinach, mushrooms, and feta, or the savory hash browns paired with eggs and crispy bacon. The breakfast burrito offers a flavorful, filling start to the day, while the Hangover Burger beckons those seeking a hearty, indulgent lunch option. And for fans of classic Americana, the sourdough patty melt and side Caesar salad provide a perfectly balanced meal.

What truly sets Shari's apart is its legendary pie selection. The display itself is a temptation that many customers, like Maggi Smith Hall, find irresistible—whether it’s a slice of their luscious coconut cream pie or a thick slice of apple, each bite offers a rich, buttery crust that perfectly complements the sweet, silky filling. For a truly decadent treat, the coconut cream pie shake is a creamy, dreamy indulgence that doubles down on the pie experience. These pies are so beloved that some say they’ve banished the need to bake at home entirely.

Shari’s commitment to quality shines through even in their beverages, from freshly ground coffee brewed in small batches delivering a robust, flavorful cup, to refreshing strawberry lemonades and classic fountain drinks. The new Pickle Fries appetizer adds a fun, crispy twist with thin-cut spears fried to perfection and paired with cool ranch dipping sauce—perfect for sharing, especially alongside their Works Platter, a satisfying medley of southern-style chicken tenders, quesadillas, and chips.

Customer reviews bring Shari’s atmosphere and service to life. Michael Ross praises the warm welcome he received on a spontaneous visit, an experience that turned a routine lunch stop into a memorable dining moment. Lori Ann Wiley appreciates the family-run feel and acknowledges the thoughtful military discount, while Jeannie Parma highlights the attentive and friendly servers—particularly Janelle—who make the ordering process smooth and enjoyable. Jerry Wong describes it as a "friendly homey style" restaurant, comparing it favorably to other beloved classics like Denny’s and Marie Callender’s but with a more personal touch and hospitable ambiance.

Whether you’re stopping in for a comforting breakfast, a casual lunch, or a slice of exceptional pie that vivifies nostalgia and indulgence, Shari’s Cafe and Pies offers a reliably delightful experience in Rohnert Park. Its combination of savory and sweet options, welcoming service, and cozy setting make it a standout destination that calls you back time and again.

I had to stop to charge a Tesla, so it was a good time for lunch. There wasn't much around that I would eat ( I don't go for fast food.). I walked into a neighboring restaurant which immediately I had a bad experience. This led me to Shari's. I'd never eaten at one and gave them a try. Immediately, when I walked in, I got the warmest welcome! That alone will bring me back! I ordered a club sandwich and fries. This was one of the biggest, delicious clubs I ever had! I would have liked more fries, but the sandwich was more than enough! It really was a sandwich for two. With great food, great staff, and heart warming smiles to greet you, I'll definitely be back!

Quiet cozy place serving very tasty food. We went for breakfast. Service was terrific. Food warm. Lots of choices on the menu. The pie display at the front door is a killer trap. Beware! Seriously though the apple we bought. Delicious. I have no need to bake pies ever again!

Reminds me of Marie Callender's, but less commercialized! Really felt like a Ma and Pa type place and maybe it was! Definitely appreciated the military discount and fast, friendly service!

Overview: Friendly homey style chain resturant.  Like Denny's or Marie Collander. Plenty of parking in the shared mall lot. Meal/Time: Dinner  Friday 553PM Party Size: 2 Seated: 554PM Ordered: 601PM First ordered item arrived: 617PM Decor/Atmosphere:  family friendly format restaurant, like a nicer Denny's.  Warm and welcoming. Service/ Front of the House: Same as the server.  Greeted almost as we entered. Service/Serving Staff: Friendly made us feel welcomed.   ALL the servers I observed were interacting with guests in a friendly and familiar manner.   A+++ to the service staff!!  Steve (name on receipt- no name tags) did an awesome job!! Food: $3 side house salad with Ranch.   Fresh and refreshing.  Red onions adds a good bite.  A little bit pricey for the amount of food. I ordered the 10oz  prime rib $25.99, but was not asked how I would like it cooked.  Got steamed veggies and a bake potato as my sides.  The prime rib is surprisingly good.   Tender and well seasoned as well as you can expect from a casual dining restaurant. The bake potato is salt and pepper seasoned and is really good.   You only get sour cream and butter as your compliments to the potato. The seasonal steamed veggies... think frozen veggie medley....not too good in my opinion. Value: Pretty good value for the money you pay.  Food is decent. Restroom: Men's room has 2 urinals and 2 stalls.  One of the urinals was out of order.   The room spacious but poorly lit.  The sink area has seen better days...the over lights were dirty and kinda scary.  The mirror's lower right corner is damaged and the left soap dispenser is missing from the wall. Will I come back?:  yes...Price v. Food and service amazing.
